King William Tower Enabling Works

Project Description:The King William Tower Enabling Works project was undertaken to prepare the existing, fully operational Festival Car Park site for the future construction of a 36-storey tower. The scope involved the demolition of existing structural slabs and core foundations, installation of additional retention ground anchors, truncation of existing post-tensioned reinforcement, and the construction of new foundation pile footings, including the column foundation piling.To facilitate these works, significant modifications to the existing car park were required. This included the construction of a new alternative tunnel access for Parliament House, installation of new amenities, diversion of existing services, and the addition of new supply air fan rooms on each level of the car park.All works were delivered within a live, operational environment, with careful staging and coordination to maintain full functionality of the Festival Car Park throughout the duration of the construction activities.

Valley Central Shopping Centre

Project Description:The centre upgrade involved comprehensive internal and external works to accommodate new medical and dental clinics, while also delivering a refreshed fit-out for the existing centre, the adjacent Lollipop’s building façade, and both existing and new tenancies.A key component of the project was a full services upgrade, replacing infrastructure that had reached or was nearing the end of its design life. External works included a new façade, roof replacement, extended and upgraded perimeter footpaths, and enhancements to the surrounding soft landscaping and furniture throughout the car park.All works were delivered within a live trading environment, with key tenants—including Foodland, Bakers Delight, Hairdresser, Beauty Spot, and Terry White Chemist—remaining operational throughout the construction period.

Festival Plaza Public Realm

Project Description:The Festival Plaza Redevelopment is one of Adelaide’s most significant public realm projects in recent years. As a key element of the Riverbank precinct master plan, the project reconnects previously fragmented parts of the city’s premier cultural and entertainment zone — including the Adelaide Festival Centre, Sky City Casino, Adelaide Railway Station, Parliament House, and a new mixed-use retail and commercial tower.Spanning approximately two hectares, the redeveloped plaza features a central event space defined by a striking Australian stone paving pattern, a nod to the modernist heritage of the original Festival Centre. A zero-depth water feature encourages interaction and creates a sense of place, while elevated gardens and lawn areas transform the plaza into a space for both recreation and relaxation — making it not just a thoroughfare, but a destination in its own right.

Paragon on the Park Apartments

Client: 278 South TerraceLocation: Adelaide, SAProject Value: $15mArchitect: Intro Architecture

Project Description:This development features an eight-story medium- to high-rise residential building that takes full advantage of views across the southern Park Lands and toward the Adelaide Hills face. Strategically located within the Adelaide CBD, the project delivers high-quality, spacious apartments in an area earmarked for residential growth.The building comprises thirteen premium apartments, including two rooftop penthouses, supported by two levels of car parking and a high-end lobby entry.Architecturally, the design expresses a series of undulating horizontal bands that form balconies and shadow lines, giving the upper levels a sculptural and dynamic presence. In contrast, the podium is defined by vertical screening and column elements, creating a strong visual base. The upper floors are further articulated through recessed central elements on both the eastern and western façades, offering visual balance and segmentation.

U-City

Client: Uniting Communities Location: Adelaide, SAProject Value: $100mArchitect: Woods Bagot

Project Description:‍A first for South Australia, the $100 million U City development sets a new benchmark in inclusive and sustainable urban design. The 20-storey, mixed-use building features a specialist disability short-stay accommodation facility, six floors of retirement living residences, and purpose-designed long-term rental apartments for people living with a disability. Integrated throughout the building are state-of-the-art assistive smart technologies, creating a truly functional and accessible assisted living environment.The development also includes 5,000m² of commercial office space, a double-height auditorium, retail tenancies, public realm activation, and a two-level basement car park. U City is a multi award-winning project and a global leader in sustainable design. It achieved an impressive 84.9 Green Star points, earning a 6 Star Green Star rating, a 5 Star NABERS rating, and the distinction of being South Australia’s first carbon neutral whole building.

Festival Car Park

Project Description:Winner of the National Engineering Excellence Award, the Riverbank Car Park is a 60,000m², five-level basement facility strategically integrated with key city landmarks, including the Adelaide Festival Centre, Sky City Hotel, and Parliament House.The construction involved complex engineering solutions, including the use of four tower cranes, permanent dewatering systems, and comprehensive contamination management. Delivered within an accelerated timeframe of just seventeen months, the project set a new benchmark for large-scale infrastructure delivery and laid the groundwork for the subsequent Festival Plaza and Tower One developments.‍

Perth Airport

Client: Perth AirportLocation: Perth, WAProject Value: $200mArchitect: Woods Bagot

Project Description:The Perth Airport Terminal 1 Domestic Pier and International Departures Expansion was the largest component of the airport’s $1 billion redevelopment program, significantly enhancing capacity, passenger experience, and airline operations.The new domestic pier included 22 check-in desks, self-service kiosks, and bag-drop technology, alongside three Airbus A330-capable gates—each equipped with dual aerobridges—and four additional aircraft gates. The terminal also features a vibrant retail precinct with nine outlets, a new Virgin Australia lounge, and a modern baggage reclaim hall with seamless access to upgraded taxi and parking facilities.The international upgrade delivered 18 new check-in desks, two Airbus A380-capable gates with dual aerobridges, three new airline lounges, and a significantly expanded retail offering, enhancing both operational efficiency and passenger amenity.
